We certainly have had a week of beautiful weather. I got a lot accomplished. One day I mopped the porch, it was covered with green pollen. I washed the porch railing and all the porch furniture. Then I got the porch cushions out and put in the swing and all the rocking chairs. Next day I mowed the whole yard. We have a big yard. It takes about 3 hours to mow. Then I trimmed the yard. ( If the yard is not trimmed after it is mowed it is like a guy wearing a nice suit with dirty/dusty shoes)As I was trimming along the landscaping blocks around my gravel patio I routed out a garden snake. I chased it down with the trimmer and killed it. The snake was about 15 inches long. We have a lot to trim around. I was tired that evening. The next day I got the tiller out and tilled up my small garden ready to plant, then weeded a couple flower beds. The next day I got the chain saw out and trimmed the lower limbs off one of our large ornamental pear trees. It is hard to mow under the pear trees with the limbs hanging so low. I cut several sicks of wood off the limbs for fire wood then cut the remaining limbs in lengths to pile on the Gator and hauled away.

The baby Wrens left the nest Thursday afternoon. They had built a nest in my water fountain tub that sets on the porch. I got to set on the porch and watch the babies being fed and got to see the babies leave the nest. What a joy. The next day I removed the nest and scrubbed the tub and filled it with water, put the pump in and have it now up and running.

Burl and Colleen Folger came up to visit us and brought me several tomato plants. That was so nice of them. We certainly have wonderful neighbors.

Delbert and I went for a ride in the Gator and stopped and visited with Burl and Colleen Folger a few minutes and a nice visit.

My brother Kenneth and his lady friend Joan Lucas came up and spent Friday afternoon and evening with us.

Our son Ron and his wife Teresa brought supper to us on Saturday evening. That was so thoughtful and a big help to me as I needed a break.

Delbert has been out and walking all over the yard. His balance is not real good. He sat out in a lawn chair and gave me advice on what limbs to cut off the pear tree.
