* Lead monthly Western Nebraska Human Resource Association Meeting.

* Assisting employees and supervisors with requests.

* Continue to repair and replace streetlights.

* Replacing numerous deficient poles on our system.

* Performed repair and maintenance on several irrigation well transformer banks.

* Attended the MEAN Board of Directors meeting in Kearney.

* Concrete replacement work around the hangars has been completed.

* We have an opening for Airport Maintenance Worker position, with hopes of hiring before winter weather sets in.

* UL Fire Equipment services completed annual tests for the ground ladder and pumps.

* FireCatt started annual fire hose testing.

* We are hosting the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC) 2022 traveling Art show in our theater until September 7. This consists of 25 award winning pieces from across Nebraska.

* We are continuing our free reading give-away in the upstairs gallery. The offering includes 100’s of local newspapers spanning nine decades, many Alliance Times-Herald photos from the 1990’s, Worley photos, early magazines, unused albums, manila envelopes suitable for storage and much, much more. These items are duplicates and excess and are crowding our storage. Please stop by and help us out. If you love history, you will love our selection! We are adding items daily. The Museum Scrapbook club also is cleaning out and has some items to give away. This will continue through September.

* Staff is putting together new non-fiction book club kits to add to our growing book club kit selection.

* Cataloguing a variety of new books for our collection.

* Staff is cross-training after some changes to staffing.

* Updating the website to ensure its accuracy.

* Fall programming is being planned and the accompanying displays are under development.

* Repaired several pieces of equipment and ordered parts for several others.

* Council approved the purchase of a replacement greens mower. Deliver is expected in early 2023.

* Mowed and performed regular maintenance on the course. Greens are recovering well after aeration.

* Started construction of the new practice bunker.

* Play continues to be steady.

* Cleaned the root balls and stumps out of the creek at the tennis courts.

* Cleaned out the south end of the drainage ditch in Central Park.

* Met with the tree trimmer to determine additional areas that need cleared of dead branches.

* Cleaned out in front of the culverts on the practice field.

* Collected grass clippings on all the ballfields and larger parks as cooler days resulted in accelerated growth rates for the turf.

* Mowed along the pedestrian trail from Flack to Meadowlark.

* Started winterizing and draining the pool. Put all the umbrella canvases into storage for the season.

* June sales taxes will be received next week in the amount of $204,780.50. This is up 4.3% from the prior month and 6.1% from June 2021.

* Assessed valuation was received from the County and is up 5.88% to $570,557,244. The proposed tax City request is up 1.99% resulting in a 2022 city levy of .331258 as compared to the 2021 levy of .343879.
