Here are the top five stories today in Orlando:

1. Apopka restaurant, Porkie's Original BBQ, will hold a fundraiser today for Austin Duran, the Apopka firefighter who has been fighting to recover from a tragic injury he sustained while working on June 30. (Click Orlando)

3. The Orange County Clerk's Office says there are currently 11,924 unclaimed checks, made up of vendor payments, refunds, restitution and cash bonds. 4. A South Florida man was arrested Monday and accused of raping a woman at Disney's Dolphin Resort in Orlando, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The arrest report states that security cameras captured the woman trying to crawl away from Gomez, who was then reportedly seen forcing himself on her. Eyvor Gomez, 49, of Pembroke Pines faces a charge of sexual battery. (Fox 35)

5. Maxine's on Shine located at 337 Shine Avenue is looking to make the patio constructed during the height of the pandemic permanent with new additions, according to documents. The permanent plans would call for an outdoor bar and formal covering. (Bungalower)
