Sting was a franchise player who stayed with WCW until the very end. Let's review the final WCW pay-per-views of The Icon, ranked from worst to best!

Sting is a WCW legend and he has been featured in many memorable matches, but his final few matches on WCW PPVs were a mixture of underwhelming and brilliant.

Sting is a stalwart in WCW, and he was an integral figure in the Monday Night Wars. Sting was incredibly loyal to WCW and he didn't jump ship to WWE until 2014. Sting made WCW his home and he was a household name. He won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times, the WCW United States Championship twice, and he was a three-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with three different partners.

Whilst, WCW dramatically went on a downward spiral in the final few years, Sting was heavily involved. Some of his storylines were poor, but he was there throughout the highs and lows. Nevertheless, let's revisit Sting's final batch of matches on WCW pay-per-views which had contrasting results.

Sting had one of the quickest matches in his career when he faced off with The Demon at New Blood Rising 2000. Sting fought The Demon in the aisleway before they took the action into the ring.

Once the match moved into the ring it was one-way traffic. Sting connected with the Stinger Splash, and he put The Demon away with the Scorpion Deathdrop to prevail in under one minute.

Sting and Vampiro clashed in a Human Torch match which is similar to an Inferno match but without the ring surrounded by fire. Vampiro doused Sting in gasoline, and the match largely took place on the outside of the ring.

This was a lackluster match, and they battled at the top of the stage where the torch with the flame was located. The lighting was dark and the lights flickered with thunder effects. Nevertheless, Sting was set on fire, and the stuntman flipped onto the crashpad below to get the fire out.

Former tag team partners Sting and the Total Package were opponents at Starrcade 1999. Neither man was functioning at the peak of their powers, and it was a poor match between the former WCW World Heavyweight Champions.

Lex Luger was the aggressor, and Miss Elizabeth stood on the apron which allowed Sting to get the upper hand. However, Elizabeth betrayed Sting, and Sting was livid. Elizabeth clocked Sting with a baseball bat, causing The Icon to become victorious by disqualification.

Sting was virtually in a handicap match when he clashed with The Great Muta and Vampiro in a triple threat match. Muta and Vampiro worked as a cohesive unit by fighting Sting on the outside. As soon as Sting got some offense, the number's games proved to be too much.

The Great Muta and Vampiro turned on each other, and Sting cleaned out the house with a bat. Ultimately, Sting prevailed after he executed the Scorpion Deathdrop on Muta.

There was a lumberjack match between Sting and Lex Luger at Uncensored 2000. Sting got the upper hand and he threw the Total Package outside where the lumberjacks beat him up before Luger was bailed out of trouble.

The match was slow-paced and Ric Flair came down the aisle with a steel chair alongside Miss Elizabeth. Vampiro hit the Total Package in the back with a baseball bat, and Sting hit Lex with the Scorpion Deathdrop for the victory.

Halloween Havoc 2000 featured Sting and Jeff Jarrett going toe-to-toe. Sting gained the upper hand on Jarrett on the outside. An imposter Sting appeared and Sting dealt with the fake one by laying him out with the Scorpion Deathdrop on the floor.

There were too many shenanigans with Sting putting a lot of fake Stings away with the Scorpion Deathdrop. Unfortunately, the interferences hampered the quality of the match, and Jarrett hit Sting in the head with a guitar for the win.

Sting and Scott Steiner clashed in the tournament final for the WCW United States Championship at Spring Stampede 2000. Big Poppa Pump overpowered Sting in the early exchanges. The match could have been miles better than it was.

Vampiro emerged from underneath the ring and he pulled Sting below. Sting was bleeding from the mouth, and Steiner became a two-time WCW United States Champion after he cinched in the Steiner Recliner.

The winner between Sting and Vampiro would advance to face Scott Steiner in the final round of the tournament to crown a new WCW United States Champion. Sting and Vampiro battled outside of the ring for parts of the match.

Sting dominated proceedings and he was largely untroubled. Sting executed the Scorpion Deathdrop, and he applied the Scorpion Deathlock to book his spot in the tournament final against Big Poppa Pump.

Sting and Vampiro were pitted against each other at Slamboree 2000. They battled on the ramp before they took the action toward the ring. Sting dominated the early proceedings with Vampiro having no offense. Moreover, Vampiro weathered the storm and fought back.

Sting hit Vampiro repeatedly with a lead pipe. He connected with the Stinger Splash, and two Scorpion Deathdrops were enough for Sting to earn the victory over Vampiro.

Sting and Booker T's quarterfinal match in the WCW United States Championship tournament at Spring Stampede 2000 was the best match of the night and easily could have been the final. This was an excellent match between the pair.

Booker connected with the axe kick but Sting kicked out. Ultimately, the match went back and forth, but Sting battled past Booker with a Scorpion Deathdrop. Had it not been a tournament match, it could have lasted longer.
