SUMMERVILLE, Georgia (WDEF) – There is some good news about water in Summerville tonight.

City officials say two of the filters at the water treatment plant are back in operation.

They say they could get water back in the system by the end of Friday, if the distribution pumps are working properly.

Even so, they will continue a boil water advisory for several weeks.

They will only lift it when Bac T samples come back negative.

You can still get bottled water in from of the fire department on Cox Street during the day.

Plus there is a tanker truck and water buffalo available around the clock (bring your own container).
